Challenge
The goal of CareSix was to develop a financial control system for homebound people and their caregivers. A debit system was planned with cards issued to caregivers and other members of the circle of care.  The homebound patient would be able to limit where and how much the caregiver could use the debit card. Other trusted family members or friends could be added to the account to provide an extra layer of accountability on the account. The ultimate hope was to limit any fraud an unscrupulous caregiver might be able to commit, while allowing the patient to maintain control over their finances.
Overview
The project was a massive learning curve for all involved. The client wanted to use a new low-code environment; the design and development team had to take a crash course in it. The client had an aggressive timeline, but did not properly research different payment gateways. Also, the low-code system was not robust enough to handle APIs at the time exploratory development was taking place. This led to the project ultimately crashing and burning.

Design
Normally, I would create thumbnails at this stage. However, the timeline for the CareSix project was accelerated, so the thumbnail stage was skipped over and prototyping was started.
While the main design was created for desktop use, responsive design was taken into account, and a mobile-friendly version was designed.
Summary
At this point, it was determined that the low-code system chosen was not robust enough to handle the project. The client also had problems with the financial development. The project was canceled.
